As I’ve been preparing for ElevateHER 2025 and building momentum around my nonprofit She Lives Out Loud, I received a message that hit me hard:
“Unforgiveness will block your money.”
At first, I brushed it off. I thought, “I’ve forgiven. I’ve moved on.”
But something in my spirit nudged me to go deeper—to study it for myself.
What I uncovered wasn’t just convicting, it was liberating. Here’s what I’ve learned—and how it might unlock the financial flow you’ve been praying for.
1. Unforgiveness Drains Your Energy and Focus
Holding onto past hurts steals mental clarity and emotional strength. You may find yourself distracted, reactive, or exhausted—not because you’re doing too much, but because your energy is tied up in unresolved pain.
Scripture:
“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you… Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
– Ephesians 4:31-32
When your heart is clear, your mind is sharp—and that’s when ideas, strategy, and divine direction flow freely.
2. Unforgiveness Blocks the Flow of Blessing
Money flows through alignment. When we are spiritually misaligned—harboring unforgiveness, resentment, or judgment—we block the very abundance we’re asking God to release.
Scripture:
“Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father… may forgive you.”
– Mark 11:25
Your prayers for financial breakthrough must be matched with a heart posture of release. Forgiveness clears the pipeline.
3. It Damages Relationships That Carry Wealth
Wealth is relational. Opportunities come through people. If you’re avoiding, mistrusting, or silently resenting others, you may be shutting down divine connections.
Scripture:
“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”
– Romans 12:18
I realized some of the people God wanted to use to bless me—I couldn’t receive from, because my heart hadn’t fully healed.
4. It Keeps You in a Scarcity Mindset
Unforgiveness often masks itself as protection. “I won’t let that happen again.” But underneath, it’s fear. Fear keeps us clinging, grasping, and doubting. And fear and faith can’t share the same room.
Scripture:
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.”
– 2 Timothy 1:7
When we forgive, we make room for faith, clarity, and abundance to take root.
5. It Violates the Principle of Sowing and Reaping
Jesus taught that forgiveness is part of the same cycle as generosity. You reap what you sow. If you sow bitterness, you reap bitterness. But if you sow mercy, grace, and forgiveness—you open yourself up to a harvest beyond what money can buy.
Scripture:
“Give, and it will be given to you… For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
– Luke 6:38
Forgiveness is a seed that unlocks spiritual and financial harvest.
My Takeaway
I know ElevateHER and She Lives Out Loud are about helping women rise—in their faith, their purpose, and their prosperity. But God reminded me: you can’t elevate while holding onto weight.
Unforgiveness is one of the heaviest.
So now, before we help women build wealth and legacy, we must start with freedom.
Your Turn:
- Who do you need to forgive—really?
- What emotions are costing you clarity, peace, or revenue?
- Are you willing to release it, so you can receive what’s next?
Let this be your invitation to heal, release, and receive. I’ll be going deeper into this journey at ElevateHER 2025 and through She Lives Out Loud programming.
